Maintaining compliance policies in a healthcare system can be daunting, especially as new mergers and acquisitions occur. It can be incredibly challenging in systems that span multiple states with differing legal and regulatory requirements. Each time a new entity joins an existing healthcare system, an inventory and assessment of compliance policies are needed to determine whether any required updates, changes, or consolidations are needed. Here are key considerations for policy management in a healthcare system.
