Credit for this month’s column goes to Olga Pontes, chief compliance officer for Odebrecht, the Brazilian company at the center of the Operation Car Wash corruption scandal. In September I had the privilege of interviewing Olga during a general session at our 18th Annual Compliance & Ethics Institute. There were many highlights from the interview I could share, but there was one that stood out as being relevant to the position compliance professionals are often placed in.
