Staying abreast of industry news and the latest changes in state and federal laws and regulations is critical for compliance professionals, and a multitude of resources are available to help.

General resources

Compliance professionals can find a variety of resources through the internet, including but not limited to:

  • Free and subscription-based industry newsletters containing information and news related to specific healthcare sectors, such as hospitals, physician practices, home health, labs, pharmacies, post-acute care, telehealth, and value-based programs, among others.

  • Blogs, newsletters, podcasts, books, magazines, compliance guides, tools, and education from HCCA and SCCE.

  • Blogs, newsletters, podcasts, and other information from compliance consulting organizations and law firms with healthcare practices.

  • Newsletters, press releases, publications, books, blogs, and podcasts from government websites, such as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Inspector General (OIG), and HHS Office for Civil Rights (OCR) among others.
