The effect of sanctions on trade relations

The trade conflict between China and the U.S. has had a great impact on the global technology supply chain, but the re-ordering has other motives and consequences, as well. Japan, for example, recently curbed its trade relationship with South Korea, following a ruling by South Korea’s Supreme Court that Japan’s Nippon Steel Corp. must compensate South Koreans for forced labor during the war.
