China News: Trade deal threatened; new law tightens disclosure requirements

The South China Morning Post reported[1] June 1 that Chinese authorities had instructed major farm goods purchasers to cease buying from U.S. producers. Tensions between the two countries have risen during the COVID-19 pandemic, protests in Hong Kong and the targeting of Chinese tech companies by U.S. lawmakers.
