On June 11, 2021, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services provided welcome news to recipients of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act provider relief funds (PRFs).[1] The notice provided updated timelines for recipients of PRFs regarding both using the funds and reporting on the use of the funds. The original deadline for using funds was December 31, 2020. The original reporting deadline was February 15, 2021. The Department of Health & Human Services did allow additional time for entities that did not use all of the funding received by December 31, 2020, until July 31, 2021, to report on the use of the funds.[2]
