CARES Act: Continuous compliance concerns

Most of the provider relief funds have been distributed. The process for healthcare organizations now is to ensure they are still appropriately using the funds and reporting the required information to the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The reporting period for Phase II distributions ended March 31, but HRSA provided relief for entities that did not meet the reporting deadline. HRSA permitted late reporting for entities that could demonstrate extenuating circumstances. However, the period to report was not extensive. Requests for late reporting of Period 1 funds were due April 22 and May 18 for Period 2 funds.[1]
