Brazil's Empresa Pró-Ética program: Evaluations of the 2020-2021 cycle

The Brazilian Office of the Comptroller General (CGU) published a report December 13, 2022, on the evaluations of the 2020–2021 cycle of the Empresa Pró-Ética program.[1] Empresa Pró-Ética is an initiative that seeks to foster the voluntary adoption of integrity measures by companies operating in Brazil, focusing on the commitment to prevent, detect, and remediate acts of corruption and fraud. The report provides an overview of the stage of compliance programs in companies operating in Brazil.

The document contains a detailed study of participating companies’ compliance programs and an analysis of the positive and negative scores of the areas evaluated. Companies from many economic sectors participated in the program, with a 28% increase in participation over the previous edition.
