Patient Privacy Court Case: July 2024

On June 18, the Second Judicial District of Bernalillo County, New Mexico, approved a class-action lawsuit settlement[1] against Presbyterian Healthcare Services (PHS) related to unauthorized access to certain employee email boxes on or about May 2019.[2] PHS is a private not-for-profit health care system and health care provider that renders health care services, medical care and treatment through the operation of eight hospitals throughout New Mexico and Presbyterian Health Plan.[3]
