The HHS Office of Inspector General (OIG) has updated its work plan.[1]

OIG has posted its list of top unimplemented recommendations to reduce fraud, waste and abuse.[2] They include addressing inappropriate nursing home discharges; recovering $1 billion of overpayments from incorrectly assigned malnutrition diagnosis codes on hospital inpatient claims; and increasing access to opioid use disorder treatments.
