The most recent CMS Quality Strategy report (QS report) articulates a vision to “optimize health outcomes by improving quality and transforming the health care system.”[1] To achieve that vision, CMS outlines a six-pronged set of objectives. It should come as no surprise that the first of those objectives is to “make care safer by reducing harm caused in the delivery of care.”[2]
