Flowchart for New IRF Review Choice Demonstration

This flowchart summarizes CMS’s new five-year review choice demonstration for inpatient rehabilitation facility (IRF) services, which gets underway in Alabama on Aug. 21 and eventually will expand into Pennsylvania, Texas and California.[1] The program-integrity initiative allows IRFs to choose between prepayment and postpayment reviews.
