Your organization's values don't matter

Many organizations spend many hours and months developing “the right” set of values. They spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on consultants fretting over the perfect words.

But the words don’t matter. How could they really? After all, most of your corporation’s values will fall into one of nine categories: integrity, teamwork, innovation, respect, quality, safety, community, communication, and hard work. It’s hard to differentiate yourself with this limited set.
