The Senate on Feb. 17 confirmed Christi Grimm as HHS Inspector General (IG), according to the Congressional Record.[1] She is now Principal Deputy IG and will remain in that role until she is sworn in, according to OIG spokesperson Yvonne Gamble. “Grimm began leading OIG on January 1, 2020, serving as the Principal Deputy Inspector General, performing the duties of the Inspector General. In total, Ms. Grimm has more than two decades of leadership and expertise in health and human services programs, both at OIG and previously at CMS,” Gamble said.
