Members of Congress send letters to CEOs regarding forced labor in China supply chain

A report released March 1 by the International Cyber Policy Centre in cooperation with the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI), “Uyghurs for sale: ‘Re-education’, forced labour and surveillance beyond Xinjiang,”[1] presented evidence of forced labor in China. On April 6, Rep. Ilhan  Omar, D-Minn., led members of Congress on a series of letters[2] addressed to CEOs of companies implicated in the report. The letters target a wide variety of companies spanning tech, apparel and textiles, household appliances and automobiles. The questions asked in the letters include the following:
