How Hospitals May Be Overpaid for Outpatient Services Provided to Inpatients

In a new report,[1] the HHS Office of Inspector General said Medicare overpaid $11.7 million for nonphysician outpatient services in connection with inpatient admissions in 2016 and 2017.[2]
