Policy Against Retaliation
Company X does not tolerate retaliation against individuals who report issues of potential policy or legal violations in good faith. Company X cannot remedy claims of misconduct or wrongdoing unless such claims are brought to the attention of management and employees are expected to report matters they become aware of. It is Company X policy that employees who report matters will not suffer reprisal, harassment, intimidation, threats, coercion, discrimination or retaliation.
Employees and applicants are encouraged to engage in the following activities without fear of reprisal, harassment, intimidation, threats, coercion or discrimination:
file a complaint with the Company or with federal, state, or local agencies;
assist or participate in any internal or external investigation, compliance review, hearing or any other activity related to the administration of any federal, state or local laws and ordinances;
oppose any act or practice made unlawful by federal, state or local law regarding harassment; or
exercise any other employment right protected by federal, state or local law or its implementing regulations.
If any person believes they have witnessed or been the subject of a violation of this policy, they should report the matter immediately to human resources, ethics and compliance, or via the ethics and compliance helpline at XXX-XXX-XXXX. Anyone, regardless of position or title, whom the Company determines has engaged in conduct that violates this policy against retaliation will be subject to discipline, up to and including termination of employment.
